How To Remove Category From URL?

Hi guys,

I’m using /%category%/%postname%/ for my permalinks. I noticed the link will become:

domain.com/category/category-name/post-name

How do I make it to this instead?

domain.com/category-name/post-name

Sorry for asking! Couldn’t find it in the search.

If I understand you correctly you want to “remove category base” this article might give you some tipps - https://themerella.com/remove-category-wordpress-urls/ though as far as I know it’s not recommended but as always depends on the use case :wink:
