HTML module is hidden and non selectable

I added an HTML module to a row. I added my HTML which is basically calling an image from a third party website and gave that image a link. The HTML didn’t render, however, when I hit save, the HTML showed up in the front end. When I went back to the page editor, the row is visible, but the HTML module is no longer visible. I can’t select it and cannot make modifications. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Playing around a little more, adding a second module to the row makes the HTML module show up. It still does not render the HTML (not sure if this is designed this way).

Hey mws,

When you say 3rd party website, which one? Also, any particular reason why you wouldn’t just use a photo module and have the image in your media library?

Best,
Billy

It is an affiliate tracking code given by shareasale.com.

There is no reason why I can’t use an image module and link the tracking code. This is actually what I used as a work around. I’m just curious as to the behavior of the HTML module, and at the very least, possibly bringing up a bug/issue.

Regardless if I use an image module or not, shouldn’t the HTML module work as expected?

Thanks.

Hey Mws,

I just tried calling an image from a third party site(Google’s logo) and linking it to their site and it shows up just fine. This is most likely caused by probably some additional code you have on your HTML. Do you mind sharing temp access to your site so we can check?

Hey Mws,

I just pasted that code directly to an HTML module on my local install and immediately after hitting save, the image popped up. Published the page, went back to the builder and I can edit the HTML module with no problem. I also tried this on the dev server the guys gave me access to and it works fine too. We can take a further look at this if you want. We may need access to the site though. Or if you’re fine with just using an image module then we can just leave it as it is.
