IcoMoon App Icon placement & Row Animation

Hey chaps,
I’ve just tried uploading a set of 6 icons via IcoMoon App, followed the instructions as per here: http://forum.wpbeaverbuilder.com/using-custom-font-icons-beaver-builder/

Within the settings/page builder/icons I can see that the new icon set has been added though no name is assigned beside the checkbox, just the delete text option. When I go to place and add the icons via my callout section I’m unable to see the icons in the backend panel (though it does look like they are there but have no colour applied) and within the frontend there is a no show.

You can see below the hero image and ‘welcome to canvas’ text section here: http://visitscotland.users40.interdns.co.uk/ that I’ve tried to replace the responsive layout callout with a new Ico icon. As you see, I’m trying to streamline my icon usage in order that the callouts run in line as opposed to what I have at the moment where I’ve used a mixture Wordpress Foundation and Font Awesome icons which I think is causing the staggered issue.

Finally, my last question is, is there a way to apply animation to a whole row rather than individual column choices. As you can see the row of boxes below the section mentioned above with statistics 'd like that area to ‘fade in’ as the user scrolls down.

Many thanks for your time, hope the above makes some sense!

Hey Darron,

Welcome to the BB forums!

It seems you missed one important step from when you downloaded the icons from the IcoMoon App. You needed to change the Class Prefix from the default icon-. Failure to do so would cause conflicts with our own icon sets which is what’s happening to your site. You can try generating the icons from the IcoMoon App again but before downloading, hit the settings icon right beside the download button. That’s where you can change the class Class Prefix.

Re animation for whole rows, we currently don’t have that feature. You can just apply the animation through each module and just set the same delay value.

Hope this helps!

Hi Ben,
Many thanks for getting back to me on both questions so quickly.

As can be seen from this screen grab: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3dt4c65bt3plryq/Voila_Capture%202015-09-10_12-25-3_pm.png?dl=0 I did change the class prefix (and colour). Should I have Class selector ticked as well? This would allow for .icon

Thanks again

Darron

Hey Darron,

No worries! That’s weird, that prefix is not what I see on your markup. The icon on your markup still uses the default prefix icon-. Could you try redownloading that icon set with the same settings and see if it works?

Ben

Nope Ben - no joy I’m afraid - still seeing class: fl-icon. re-uploaded, even shortened the class prefix name just in case it was that.

Still seeing this in the backend as well and not my icon set name: https://www.dropbox.com/s/waonkgwnjb0493s/Page_Builder_‹_canvas_—_WordPress.png?dl=0

If it’s a hassle I leave it for now

Thanks

Darron

Hey Darron,

That’s really weird. Do you mind sharing the zip file from IcoMoon when you downloaded it so I can take a look? You can just share a dropbox link.

Ben

Hey Ben,

Here’s the Ico zip file as instructed:https://www.dropbox.com/s/tduz67cznk0z4rz/icomoon_6_icons.zip?dl=0

Darron

Hey Darron,

Those files seem to be missing the font itself. Could you try unchecking the save as PNG option before you download? I think it’s not including the font files since it’s saving them as images. Sorry, for some reason I don’t see that option from my end. Are you subscribed to them?

Hey Darron,

I think the problem is with the preferences you have with IcoMoon when downloading the icons. Do you think you could logout of IcoMoon, and follow the instructions on the KB article? It’s basically just choosing the icons you want, change the class prefix and that’s it.

Ben

Hey Darron,

I think I see what the problem is now. You’re probably hitting the Generate SVG, PNG, PDF button instead of the Generate Font on the right side.

No worries, Darron! I’ve actually only tried IcoMoon just today hence my ignorance! But now I know! Have fun with BB!

Ben

Brilliant - again, thanks for all your help today (from a sunny Scotland)
