If you set a link on an icon in an icon group then the link takes you to a new page. I tried using a link to an anchor (e.g. #anchorname) and it works but takes you to that anchor in a new tab. Can that behaviour be modified somewhere?

Unfortunately, there isn’t an option to choose a link target currently, but that is great feedback! That option is available in a single icon module so you could give rebuilding your icon group with several single icon modules if interested in a quick fix. Feel free to add this to our User Voice Forum and we’ll certainly take a look!
