Thanks for getting in touch and for your purchase, welcome to the Beaver Builder family!
In terms of your questions, we don’t have a tutorial or guide on how to setup a network or DIY solution as that is typically implemented based on your needs and unique situation. It really is personal preference and what your end goals are as to how you would go about setting it up if that makes sense.
The real power in the Agency version is the ability to configure network wide settings and of course white labeling so my best suggestion would be to do a bit of research on using Multisite as that is how I would recommend you go about using BB for your clientele. You would essentially setup a site in your network for each client with the BB products. On the flip side of the token, you can use either in single site installs as well if you like and still retain white labeling.
Let me know if we can be of further assistance and thanks again!
Originally I bought it to be able to modify Genesis Themes and create custom Child Themes.
But, after setting up a few pages for my girlfriend’s business, I enjoy using the BB Templates. Here’s the thing. Her business is a franchise and I’d like to build one theme, save it and then market the setup to the 43 other businesses in the franchise.
So, is it possible for me use BB to build out a theme for other local businesses?
If so, what do I need to do?
I thought I’d be able to download a zipfile and upload it like a regular theme.
What exactly do I need to upload to the client’s site in order to leave them with cool custom design?
I’m a bit confused how I can use this on websites that aren’t owned by me.
Is there a thread where other people talk about how they used this to setup a local business helping people get an online presence?
I like BB better than my Optimize Press, so worst case, I can use it for my websites. But, I’d love to be able to use this to create a business helping locals build websites.
how many websites can I load this thing onto with my pass key?
Unlimited?
Oh… and how do I save a layout?
I have a particular layout with a certain number of pages I want to create for the franchise. Do I really have to go through and do the same steps over and over again?
Or is there a way to save the templates I create to upload to other websites?
You can use BB for unlimited sites which is pretty awesome! Saving a layout is done while in the page editing interface via the Tools button in the top right hand corner > save layout. You can also export layouts to use in other sites if you like using WordPress import/export. I’m going to send you a private reply with some other info shortly.
Not a problem at all, Tim, glad we got it sorted out for you! I agree, our documentation needs help and we have that on the roadmap to streamline and improve immensely here in the coming months. Just need to find more time in the day!
