For full size parallax images which size do you recommend? Also which quality setting if exported from Photoshop should i use?
When i upload a 2000 px wide image i cant display it as full size i have to choose large, is it suppose to be like that?
Sometimes i experience problems uploading images they don’t show up in the media files - for example the PNG logotype doesn’t show up on the actual site.
Thanks for the kind words! It’s really hard to suggest a size to use for a background that would fit on all dimensions as that can change overnight by the launch of new devices. Since we already have 4k resolution in the market today, I’d suggest using that(3840 X 2160). Regarding the quality, I personally use the maximum quality with progressive - 3 scans.
The background image on a parallax has its background-size set to cover so it should fit the entire image to the row, you might just need to add padding to the sides.
I’d guess that would be WordPress limitation. Check this.
Hmm i tried uploading a picture 3840 px wide which works fine but when i try to pubish it as a paralax picture i have to choose size"Large" i.e. 1024 px wide otherwise it doesnt show up at all on the website. I think this is the reason why the images doesnt seem crisp.
As you can see on the site http://82.197.225.133:81/ a few images are not visible, for example the icons which are now replaced by a simple square and our logotype in the left corner. Are you saying this is a wordpress limitation?
I tried visiting the site but all I get is this? http://imgur.com/9sr5O70
Would it be possible for you to grant us temporary admin access to the site so I can check?
I really have no idea why but your images are being taken from a ramone:81 domain? Please check. http://imgur.com/tXrUEKv
Did you just transfer this site from another domain or from a local install?
Follow the instructions here when migrating a site to another domain. I don’t think that is the reason why the images have to be published no bigger than 1024px but I do know that is the reason why your images are missing. Why don’t we fix that first then go about the parallax image next?
