Hi, I’m building my photography website and I really like the Slideshow module to show my images. I’m not very familiar with CSS yet but I would like to know before I go deeper in designing my site, if it’s possible with a CSS class to add links to specific images once they pop up in the lightbox. I’m aware that I can add a general click through link to the slider module settings but I want to add different links pointing to woocommerce pages, depending if a certain photo in the slider is available for sale. Thanks for your help.
Hi Charles,
Unfortunately, what you are looking to do isn’t really possible with the slideshow module or CSS as far as I know. It would probably involve some pretty custom work to get that type of functionality working as you would like. Might I suggest using the content slider instead? You can link individual images to other sections of your site pretty easily. Give that a shot and let me know how it goes. Another suggestion may be to use a 3rd party slideshow plugin that is a bit more robust and insert using a shortcode in an HTML module.
Best,
Billy
Hi Billy and thanks for your quick reply.
That’s too bad, I really like the BB slideshow options… so guess I’ll be looking at using a 3rd party slideshow. As far as I know, the content slider doesn’t have the options to show the thumbnails underneath and the share and info buttons etc. Maybe something to consider in future updates.
Charles
Thanks for the feedback, Charles. The goal with Beaver Builder is to keep things simple as you can probably tell with options/settings throughout the modules. Part of the reason for this of course is to keep things light, speedy and that there are 3rd party options for really robust functionality if needed. Rev Slider may fit the bill for what you need as it contains a ton of options!
Best,
Billy
Great suggestion… I’m also looking at Master Slider.
