I’m using Digital Access Pass for a secured membership area and when pasting their shortcodes they don’t seem function properly via the BB page builder. I tried pasting the shortcode via the HTML module as well as the text editor but they won’t work (just show up as text).
If I paste the shortcode thru the WP editor they work fine. BUT I want to be able to customize the page through the BB page builder if possible.
One example is a shortcode for the login page. Here is the shortcode:
%%LOGIN_FORM%%
Like I said it works if I paste it via the WP page editor but as soon as I then open the page with BB it breaks it and only shows up as text. Same if I try to add it via the BB page builder from the start.
Any ideas or workarounds that you might be able to suggest?
As much as I really REALLY appreciate you willing to dig in to help… the plugin install is actually a bit of a process. You need to install an uploader they created then pull in three separate plugins plus a cron job etc etc. Not the best install process but the plugin is top shelf and works fantastic once setup.
So I don’t want to put you thru all that (plus the license key probably won’t work on your development) so I think we’d hit a wall.
The process of dropping the shortcode into a page is straight forward of course, but I just can’t get it to play nice with BB and it’s driving me nuts.
Does BB write some type of code that would break a simple shortcode like %%LOGIN_FORM%%? Seems odd it works thru the WP editor but not the page builder.
Also don’t know if it would help but here is the page for their doc that explains how to setup the pages with shortcodes.
About half way down the page is where it gets into the shortcode setup.
Again, if nothing jumps out as to why I might be having the issue then I don’t want to waste your time. Just thought someone might know of something BB might be doing that I could do a work around on.
I’ve heard it’s a bit of a pain to install and update that plugin. So I appreciate your consideration
