Loading .ttf on custom icons

I created a custom icons font for my homepage layout with Beaver -I followed your tutorial I found through the forum-, and when I am checking the speed of my site I see it is loading the .ttf font.

Does it make use of all the rest of the formats depending on the browser… or it only loads the .ttf?

Hey Pablo,

That is correct, the other formats get loaded depending on the browser.

Ok, thanks. I think the site you recommend for creating the icons font didn’t create .woff2, only .woff.
Is that normal for icons or is there something to do about that?

Hey Pablo,

Woff2 is only available if you’re a premium member. Check their FAQs page below.

Ben

If I create the WOFF2 myself can I just upload it into beaver to wherever it uplodad the rest of the fonts? or do I need to edit any files as well (if so, which ones)?

Hey Pablo,

I’m not really sure about that one to be honest. I think you can add that to your icomoons files, inside the font folder, then edit the style.css file to reflect the woff2 format. Check the link below for more info.

Haha, ok, no worries. Where does it store beaver the icons? It will be easier just to edit it on my server than to re-upload them and re-assign them.

Hey Pablo,

I’d suggest adding the font to your icomoon files, edit the style.css for it to be reflected, then reupload it. Just to answer your question though, the files are stored inside the /wp-content/uploads/bb-plugin/cache/icons/ directory.

Ben

I did so, it worked out.

Awesome! And glad I could help! Enjoy BB!
