Mailchimp plugin stuck at 'waiting' upon hiting submit

Hi guys,
I’ve implimented the mailchimp form inline on my site, I’ve added the API, the connection works, but when I hit ‘subscribe’ The button just says ‘waiting’.

I have tried deactivating ALL plugins and just running with BB switched on, but it didn’t work.

Would love some help with this. I don’t want to post the URL of my site publically here but help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the BB forums! :slight_smile:

Could you try switching themes? Preferably one of those Twenty-X themes and see if it works. We may need temp admin access to your site though, you can share the URL as well as access using the private reply option below. That should limit your post only to your, the thread owner, as well as mods. :slight_smile:

Hi,

I am experiencing the same sort of issue here on my local environment. I hit connect to link up a Mailchimp account and I see this error in the console. I just updated to the latest plugin version and no difference. I even deactivated all plugins and changed to the 2014 theme.

“SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 2 column 1 of the JSON data” on line 158 of http://localhost/sites/hidden/wp-content/plugins/bb-plugin/js/fl-builder-services.js?ver=1.6.4.1.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to do much if you’re working on a site locally. Definitely let us know if you encounter the same issue once you push the site to a live URL so we can take a look.
