On a site I have done, I used the Mailchimp sign up, added the API, chose the list, etc. We noticed that the new subscribers weren’t getting on the list, so I went to the module and noticed there was no list selected, which is weird because there had been. But now when I try to select a list, there’s none there to choose, but there IS a list. So I created a new API and tried to change it, and again I get no list.
So I removed the module altogether and added it fresh. WHen I choose Mailchimp, I get this error.
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/www/geistlanding.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/bb-plugin/classes/class-fl-builder-service-mailchimp.php on line 179
Not sure what to do from here. Any help is appreciate.
You too, Amy, thanks! Ok, so this is a strange error. To start, would you mind clearing the BB cache via dashboard > settings > page builder > cache. Let me know if that helps at all. Also, do you have a caching plugin installed at the moment that you could clear as well?
I think you are getting that error as you have two subscribe modules on that page each trying to use a specific list. You’ll want to remove one of them and I think that will clear up the error. Other than that, I think this issue may be on the MailChimp side in terms of your lists or accounts. To confirm, have you checked in on everything in MailChimp to ensure it is setup correctly? It looks like the subscribe module is working, but can’t find a list in the account you are choosing. Let me know what you find there.
I can’t find the list either, that was my original problem so I tried to add a new subscribe box but then got that error.
There is a list and it used to be connected.
How about we have you delete both subscribe modules, publish the page and then try editing again/adding back in a subscribe module with the appropriate settings, etc. Let me know what you get when going that route.
Ok, so I removed both and added a new one. I get the same error as I had before, and I still don’t see a list. And when I try to save it without a list, it tells me I have to choose a list first. But it shows me no lists!
Yea, this is pretty weird. Before you added the new one, did you make sure to publish and then go back into the page builder? It appears you are editing at the moment so I can’t go into the page, but let me know when you are done and I can try a few things. Would it be possible to gain access to the MailChimp account as well?
Thanks Amy and apologies for the wild goose chase. I have to run for the day, but Ben will be on in a few hours to continue to troubleshoot. If you could leave the admin access for now, that would be great. I can also check in in a few hours as well to see what we can find. Would it be possible to gain access to the MailChimp account by chance?
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I just tried creating a test page on your site, added a Subscribe module, added my MailChimp account, and get the same thing. I verified on a dev site that my MC account works fine with the Subscribe module. Have you tried going through the plugin deactivation route? I know you’ve only got a few but it’s worth a shot. Let us know how it goes!
I deactivated and reactivated, and still can’t get it to work. What should I do? Is there a table in the database I should drop to try to clear it out?
Sorry, I should have been a bit clearer on my previous reply. Have you tried disabling all plugins and testing Beaver Builder while reactivating each to determine if the issue is related to a 3rd party plugin?
Is the site live? I can do the above for you if possible.
