Hello,
I am having a strange problem - the menu in the page builder editor is displayed horizontal (see image below) and I cant select the items (e.g. duplicate or delete). It worked properly so far… but this issue started today. Any idea what this can be?

hm… sorry… must have been early in the morning… the menu displayed is vertical (instead of horizontal as it always has been) … and not working properly

That would be caused by a styling issue possibly from your theme. Also, it looks like you’re running an older version of the plugin. Do you mind sharing temp admin access to the site so we can take a look? You can just post it here using the private reply option below.

It seems the markup for the button has been broken. Could you try a few things? Could you update the plugin to the latest version? If you’re having the same problem after that go ahead and deactivate all plugins except BB and see if you get the same thing. Let us know how it goes!

I am running BB Standard v 1.6.3.2… is this the latest? if not, where can I find an update? There is no update offered via the system.
With regards to the deactivation of plugins… I haven`t thought of this… but the latest two plugins I installed where the Ginger EU Cookie Law and the Ginger Tools Installer. When I deactivate these two, BB works fine. Needless to say that I need them… and to switch them off when doing some editing is not really the best option. Do you have any better idea how to solve this?

Hey Michael,
The latest version is 1.6.4.1. You can check the Change Logs for more info too. You need to place your license under Settings > Page Builder > License for the updates to become available.
Are both of the plugins causing the issue? It might be just one. Could you try leaving one on then use BB? Then try the other? It’s most likely a compatibility issue with how BB works. I could file a bug report if we know which plugin it is.

Thanks Ben. I re-entered the license info… and it did now update to 1.6.4.1. Unfortunately, the problem is still there.
The Ginger - Tools Installer requires the EU Cookie Law to be loaded… so I could only deactivate the Tools Installer. And everything works fine without it. So it looks like the Tools Installer is causing the issue - unfortunately, it is needed as it deals with “Multilanguage” and other stuff.
When it is loaded, it might do something to the character set… attached two pictures of the ending screen (when I am done with editing asking me whether I want to publish the changes, store as draft or cancel changes).
First picture without Tools Installer loaded (everything looks fine), 2nd picture with Tools installer loaded (all German Umlaute are not displayed correctly)

Could you send us a copy of both plugins so we can do some testing? You can send it to themes [at] fastlinemedia [dot] com. I can see the EU Cookie Law plugin but it seems the Ginger Tools one is a premium. Could you also send their main website?

The “Ginger - Tools Installer” is not a premium piece… they call it Ginger plus on their website and is required for every add-on.

Maybe the issue is also with just the German installation of Wordpress?

Hey Michael,
Looks like the issue is happening only when you enable the Cache System option. I’d suggest leaving it off, as well as any other caching plugins you have installed, while actively developing the site. They tend to cause irregularities with the builder being on the frontend.
