Migrating from Blue Host to Godaddy Beaver Builder Issue

So I’m having trouble with getting Beaver Builder to show content created with the plugin once a site is migrated to another server.

I have a site built out on a Blue Host server and everything is looking fine. I’m trying to transfer the site to a client’s Godaddy hosting account. After transferring the site files and starting up a blank database, I am transferring the old database via Migrate DB Pro. Everything works fine except for Beaver Builder which doesn’t show any content. I tried to clear the Beaver Builder cache with no luck.

I also tried exporting the database via Migrate DB Pro (instead of syncing both sites and transferring directly), then I imported the database via PHPMyAdmin, and used the suggested Serialized Search and Replace plugin (https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/) to search and replace the old URL with the new URL, but I ended up having the same problem.

Anything else I can try to get the migration of Beaver Builder content to go through? Would you guys recommend exporting the database from PHPMyAdmin as well and importing it into the new database, then use the Serialized Search and Replace plugin? It might be an issue with Migrate DB Pro, though I’ve read that it should work fine.

Hi Manny,

Did you read and follow the instructions on our Knowledge base? As everything you need to migrate is there - http://forum.wpbeaverbuilder.com/knowledge-base/migrating-a-site-to-another-domain/

Thanks,
Danny

Hey Danny,

Yeah I did follow that. How would you recommend I export the database? Is there an issue with Beaver Builder when the database is exported with Migrate DB Pro?

Hi Manny,

Unfortunately, I have no experience with that plugin, so I can’t say. However, whenever I have had to do a migration, I have always done so via phpMyadmin, following the steps provided by the WordPress codex - https://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database

I recommend following their instructions and see if the issue persists.

Thanks,
Danny
