Not making website updates

I have a website that uses Beaver Builder and is hosted by GoDaddy. When I make changes to my pages and click “Done” and then “Publish”, the changes are not appearing on the website. I have deleted all history, etc. and it makes no difference. I have talked to GoDaddy techs and they said everything looks good on their end and told me to contact Beaver Builder. What is wrong with my Beaver Builder?

Is it up to date? Is it certain pages? Are there errors in the browser console? Anything in the server logs?

It is up-to-date. It has happened on my staff page. I see no errors. I don’t know how to see the server log.

If changes are not appearing there can only be 3 reasons.

  1. There is an error preventing it from saving, error will be in the browser console.
  2. You are using excessive caching.
  3. You are removing asset version numbers. This will prevent all users from ever seeing changes.

If its none of the above I suggest you open a support ticket

I don’t have an account and am just using the free version because Beaver Builder was just used on the template I used to design my site. How do I create a support ticket?

What do I do after I select my topic?

Select general enquiry, explain your issue, provide the url to the site at the very least.

It isnt up to date, you are using 2.3.1.1, released 6 months ago. There has been 10 updates since then including the latest that adds support for wp 5.5

Please try updating your plugins, there were many many that wp 5.5 broke.

If your site is not showing updates for plugins then there is something seriously wrong with your install.

Do you want me to do a new install of the Lite version? Will it overwrite the existing one? If so, can you give me step-by-step instructions on how to extract the contents of the zip file and then install the new version? Thanks

If we buy the $99 standard package, would you install the updates and make sure that the site is properly working?

you dont need to buy anything. You have an old version of the free version installed. Just download the latest version from the link I gave you and install it, WP 5.5 will let you upgrade via a zipfile now.
