Og images

I’m told I’ve specified 19 og images on my site, ruralandcritical.org. I have no idea how to specify an og image, other than through Yoast’s social media section. Where did I specify these and how do i undo it!

Thanks,

Hey Fran,

I’ve already assigned another member of the team to assist you with your concern.

Hey Fran,

I just checked and we have quite a few on our site as well! Beaver Builder isn’t adding any “og” stuff, so I think that’s just how Yoast works.

My guess is that it’s either pulling in images that are in the content, or pulling in images that are attached to the post/page. That way when you post to a social network, you can choose what image you want to display.

You may want to check with Yoast about that. Sorry I don’t have a better answer!

Hey Fran,

More to what Justin said above, you can assign a specific og:image under the Social tab of the Yoast meta boxes. Check the screenshot below for reference. Doing so removes all other instances of og:images.

Ben, you’re a genius! I completely forgot that Yoast had that tab on a per page basis. I put the image link there and it updated everything, so now when I do facebook debugger there is only one image and not 19!!!

Thanks so much. I will update my facebook post in the BB group to reflect this solution for other people.

Awesome! Glad it was that simple! Enjoy BB!
