Page builder not compatible with Calendarize it! plugin?

Hey guys,

I’m getting a few issues with Calendarize it plugin and was wondering if anyone could help. I’ve managed to get the full width pages working with the single event pages calendar but would like to add some global rows and modules to my single event pages. When I activate the builder the calendar meta disappears and I am left with only the text editor details. I can still add elements but when I save the updates the event meta has vanished. The Calendarize devs are not sure why it’s happening so was wondering if you or anyone else out there might have any ideas?

Many thanks

Kat

Hey Kat,

Thanks for the thorough explanation! Do you mind sending us a copy of the plugin so we can play around with it on our local dev? You can send it to themes [at] fastlinemedia [dot] com.

Ben

Hi Ben,

I emailed it over, hope you received it it’s big!

Thanks Kat

Hey Kat,

Got it! Thanks! Will be playing around with it in a few.

Ben

Hey Kat,

Just letting you know I’ve already submitted a bug report for this so our lead dev can check.

Ben

Ok Ben that’s great thank you, can you let me know the outcome if poss pls?

Kat

Hey Kathryn,

My apologies for the delay on this. I did some testing today and it looks like this plugin is building the event pages in a fairly unconventional way.

Both their plugin and ours take over the content area, but theirs works first, so once ours comes in, it wipes out their stuff.

Typically plugins like theirs shouldn’t take over the entire content area so plugins like ours can still tap into it without breaking anything (WooCommerce does this).

Unfortunately, there isn’t anything we can do on our end to make the two compatible, so you’ll need to bring this up with the plugin author and see if they are willing to make the necessary changes. Feel free to reference this thread. I would be happy to chime in and help with the discussion.

Kat
