Hi. The plugin works on all other pages it’s been used. However, we can’t get it open on our homepage. I’ve cleared the site cache and BB cache. No help. Any idea what’s happening?

Hey Aaron,
Issues like these are usually caused by a 3rd party plugin conflict. Let’s have you go through the plugin deactivation route, i.e., disable all plugins and test the Beaver Builder while reactivating each to determine if the issue is related to a 3rd party plugin. Let us know how it goes!

Hi Ben.
With all plugins deactivated, BB Plugin still doesn’t load on the homepage. It loads on every other page. Need to get this issue solved. It worked last week and nothing changed on the site between then and now.

I think this has something to do with the theme you’re using. Dynamik has an option to select whether to use the WP Default Homepage or a Static Page. The latter using the theme’s widgets to display your homepage, which is what is set right now. Could you try switching this setting to Default WordPress Homepage and see if it fixes it? This is under Dynamik Design > EZ.

No, that’s not the problem. The only thing I can think of to do is rebuild the affected page.
Ben, if I use the WP editor to edit the page, will I lose anything built with BB?

Just wanted to chime in here real quick, yes, if you elect to switch to the editor, changes you make there won’t be picked up by Beaver Builder in the existing layout. You won’t lose the content or layout, but changes won’t take effect in Beaver Builder.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately,I cannot find a solution to this problem.
I can re-create the page and the plugin works. But as soon as I update the Static/Front page to use the new page, the plugin no longer works.
And I can’t use the default WP homepage because that presents all the blog posts on the home page.
There has to be some sort of solution. It was working fine last week.

Yes, very weird. I wonder if this issue is similar to what we’re dealing with over here. I think you are both having the same issue which we think has something to do with that Dynamik page setting, although, Lyle mentioned it might not be that too! Lyle’s a big Dynamik user so we have him check out these issues time to time as we don’t use Dynamik directly. Have you tried Dynamik’s support forum by chance?

I’ll post in the Dynamik forums. I’ve tried everything suggested in that other thread to no avail.
I think it depends on what you have set in WordPress Settings > Reading Settings. If you have the home page set to “A Static page” and select the page you’ve created with Beaver Builder, you should see that page on your home page. (I’m also using Dynamik, and that’s how it’s working for me)
If, however, you’ve got the home page set to “Your Latest Posts”, you’ll either see the blog page or, if you’ve selected “static Homepage” in Dynamic Design > EZ, the Dynamic EZ home page.
Thanks for chiming in, Rod! Yea, unfortunately, we went that route with the other thread and it still isn’t allowing the static page to be edited by BB nor showing correctly. It’s almost like there may be a Dynamik bug when you start with the EZ homepage and then switch to BB, but I can’t be sure quite yet.
Aaron, what’s your caching setup like in terms of plugin/server side caching?

Just set up a new local test site and created a Dynamik EZ front page and in Dynamik I set home page type to Static Home Page.
In WP Settings, home page is set to “latest Posts”
The EZ home page appears.
Next I create a BB page and name it “Home”.
I go back to WP Settings and change the Home page to a Static Page and select the home page I just created.
Refreshing the home page I still get the Dynamik EZ home page.
Going back to Dynamik EZ settings I changed the Home Page type back to WordPress Default page.
When I refresh the Home page I now see the BB page I created. The Dynamik EZ Top widget was still there but I just needed to go back to Dynamik EZ and remove that from the home page.
So there may be a bug in Dynamik, but there seems to be a workaround for it.

This should not happen.
I had a look around and all seems as it should except, as noted by Ben, that you should have WordPress Default Homepage set in Dynamik > Design > EZ > Homepage Type.
I build all my sites this way with DWB + BB (and lately, Genesis Dambuster) 
I am going to see if I can reproduce what Rod has just noted and will report back.

Update:
I am going to have to go with Rod that there is a bug in DWB. I won’t be able to test until tomorrow evening, but it could perhaps be from the latest DWB update to 1.9.1. Then again, it has been sooooo long since I did anything ‘for real’ with DWB / EZ … ever since I found BB!
In the meantime, this is what has worked for me in the last I don’t know how many sites I’ve built with DWB +BB:
- create Home page with BB
- set Dynamik > Design > EZ > Homepage type to Default WordPress Homepage (default setting)
- Setting > Reading > Static Homepage set to Home
That’s it … it just works
