plugin won't update due to error

Hi guys just wondering how to resolve this error that is stopping the update

An error occurred while updating Beaver Builder Plugin (Standard Version): Could not copy file. bb-plugin/includes/vendor/infusionsoft/xmlrpc-3.0/lib/xmlrpc_wrappers.inc

updating from version 1.6.4.3 to 1.6.4.6. Wp up to date (version 4.4.1)

Thanks

Hey Seamus,

Sorry to hear about the problem. Could you try disabling all plugins before updating BB? If the problem persists, do you think you can share temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

Thanks!

KC

Hi Seamus,

From my experience, a Could not copy file error is related to a permissions issue. I recommend you contact your web host provider and ask them to investigate.

All the best,
Danny

I’m getting the same error running on a local installation. I don’t see how this can be a permissions error unless the updater has changed because it has worked with other local sites. I even tried to remove the plugin and reinstall with the same error

Hey Ron,

Unfortunately, for local installs, we really can’t do much since we can’t access it. I’d suggest installing the latest update manually.

Ben

By the way, we ultimately solved the problem by manually uploading the updated plugin via FTP, not that it was on a local install.

Hi Seamus,

Thank you for informing us the issue has been resolved. However, if you encounter the issue again, you may want to get your host to inspect your permission settings.

Thanks,
Danny

Yeah I did actually. The website hosting is managed by a pretty decent company and the guy in the hot seat is pretty on to it, server admin type dude, he couldn’t see a problem. But hard for me to check up on that. If it happens again I will check back in with you and we’ll see if we can sort it out :-)thanks for your help.
