Problem with Posts Module

On our news/blog page we are using Beaver Builder and your module titled “Posts”.

Occassionaly the post titles being pulled into the news page will be replaced with another post title for every title on the news page.

I will send a link to the news page and a screenshot of the repeating post title.

Hey Exponential Admin,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear about this problem. Is there any detailed information as to when the problem occurred? Like what browser was used, OS, how often the problem occurred, when the problem occurred or anything like that? I’ve been force refreshing that page both on Chrome, IE and FF but haven’t replicated the problem. Is this reported by a few users or just one? Have you experienced the problem yourself? The only reason I could see how it does that is when the site is hacked so maybe start there. It’s also quite possible that the user who experienced that issue has an infected machine/system as well? Sorry, but unless we could replicate the issue, it’s pretty hard, if not impossible, to find out what’s causing it.

Ben

Hi Ben,

Chrome and Mac Yosemite for two different users.

Problem has been sporadic.

Haven’t experienced on my mac but have seen it on another’s.

I can’t recreate the incident myself. I can update this thread when I do or when we have more information.

Hey Exponential Admin,

Yes, we can go with that. Sporadic issues like these are hardest to figure out since we really can’t recreate them. Sorry, I just wish I had a better answer for you.

Ben

Ben,

Could you explain to me how Beaver Builder’s “Post” module pulls in the post?

I think there may be something conflicting with this software we use called Optimizely.

I believe the post title is being overwritten and the URL changed based on an Optimizely A/B test experiment.

Trying to understand better how the post’s titles are being overwritten.

Hey Exponential Admin,

I’ve already assigned another member of the team to assist you with your query.

Ben

Hi Dylan,

The posts module uses WP_Query to pull in all of the post data. Could you possibly send me a URL for the experiment?

Thanks,
Justin
