Quick Design for Voting Period?

I’m a first prize finalist in this Internet Official contest run by Verisign.

For this domain name;

I need to do a quick design for nice frontpage with an easily clickable button for voting (which opens up tomorrow). I want to display the articles nicely on frontpage too and put them on a subdirectory (/articles).

What’s the best way to do this with Beaver Builder? Do people have any suggestions for what I need to do with BB? Do people have any design for encouraging voting too?

Hey Adam,

Thanks for getting in touch and congratulations on being one of the first prize finalists! Sorry but I don’t really do designing myself so I can’t help you there. The other members of the community might be able to though.

I can give you an advice though on how to achieve what you want. You can use a button module for the clickable button that you need. For the articles, you’ve a lot of options for that. You can either put them in as posts and use our Posts Module to display a feed on the frontpage, or you can just display them statically using separate modules(text and photo or callout). Doing the former would be ideal if you add in new articles often. Doing the latter gives you more flexibility to the design but since it’s static, you’ll have to edit the entire feed if a new one comes in.

Hope this helps!

Ben

I’ve played around with the posts module but I can’t get it to display images from articles. It will if I select featured image but it looks weird when viewing the article individually. Is there a way to display articles using RSS?

Feel free to vote for me! :slight_smile:

Hey Adam,

What do you mean ‘it looks weird when viewing the article individually’? The featured image shouldn’t be included in the single post page. And yes, that’s what the featured image is for, when you display a feed of your posts. :slight_smile:

You can try using the default RSS widget and see if that works for you.
