SEO and the BB Plugin

Hello,

Quick question about BB and SEO and using the WP dashboard.

  1. I want to ensure that my pages and posts are optimized for google searches. My question is - does it matter if I use the standard WordPress text editor and place content there, and then open BB to style that content - or possibly even change it in the BB dashboard?

  2. Or can I just go straight to the BB text blocks and still have good SEO?

  3. If I want to ensure that down the road, if I want to switch themes (that will NOT happen but have to tell clients if they ask!) - Do I need to use the WP standard text editor? Or can I go ahead and use the BB Text modules, and still retain the content if necessary down the road?

Thanks!
Jean

Hey Jean,

Welcome to the BB forums!

  1. If you're planning to use the BB Page Builder, you can't use the native WP editor anymore. It's either the builder, or the native WP editor. You can't edit on both. If there is content on the native WP editor, and you switch to using the builder, all contents will be transferred into one Text Editor module.
  2. I'd suggest doing that instead. This site is built on the BB theme and plugin and we rank first on a few keywords. :)
  3. To put simply, the BB Page Builder is a plugin which replace the native WP editor. If you switch themes, only elements controlled by the theme will be changed, e.g., header, footer, sidebar. The content shouldn't be changed at all. A few styling may be changed like fonts and colors and etc but that's about it.
