So I set the woocommerce shop page to a page i’d been working on for days with bb plugin.
To my dismay, this setting erased my page. I deactivared woocommerce, but for some strange reason, instead of bringing back the page I had, the builder is now showing my home page in place of my product page.
The way you did it initially is the correct method; that is, in WC > Settings > Products > Display > Shop Page > select the page you made with BB.
To reproduce the WC supplied ‘Shop’ page, simply add the Woocommerce module, setting ‘Display’ to `Multiple Products’ and ‘Product Source’ to ‘Product IDs’ and leave the ‘Product IDs’ empty. Doing it this way will display all your products and will be automatically updated when you add/remove products.
As Ben said, the issue you had initially must have been related to caching as the way you did it is how I have done three sites with BB and WC
Hi Lyle thanks for the input. So I want to use ONLY the content I’ve already created with BB as the shop page. I don’t want Woocommerce to override this, but it seems to do so as soon as I select that BB page as the official “shop page”
Are you saying there is a way to avoid this? Apologies for my confusion
*i.e. no automatic products, I have a pricing table similar to http://forum.wpbeaverbuilder.com/pricing/ and am only using the woocommerce add to cart button shortcode on that page
Then simply do not set an ‘official’ Shop page in WC. If there is one set there already, just click on the ‘x’ so that ‘Select a page …’ is showing there.
Also, I forgot to mention, check to make sure that your WC Permalinks are set to something OTHER than ‘Default’.
