'Simple Google Calendar' in page builder

Hi,

I am trying to use a widget on the homepage that we already have in the sidebar. It works fine it the sidebar but not when added as a module on the homepage http://pillgwenllyprimary.org/

Please could you have a look to see what I’m dong wrong? I’ll follow up with login details

Hey Susanna,

Are you using the Simple Google Calendar plugin or a different one? Just wondering since I can’t seem to find that plugin on your WP install.

Sorry, the exact name is - Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin

Hi Susanna,

I believe this is due to the developer of the plugin using admin_enqueue_scripts. The best course of action is contact the developer for assistance and ask them if they will consider making it work on the frontend.

Thanks Danny. Do you know of an easy way/plugin that I could use to display a list of upcoming events for a google calendar?

Hi Susanna,

I am not aware of any plugin. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t one. I did a quick search and apparently, you can actually achieve without a plugin. On the Google Calendar, there is from what I’ve read a way to list events. Google then provides embed code which you should be able to add to the Text Widget.

I would give that a try. If you want a plugin solution, I think the best course of action is to ask on the WordPress support forums.
