Social media icons invisible in Chrome

There may be a Chrome-related bug in the new BB 1.6.3.3 update. I noticed that after I installed it, the RSS feed icon in my site’s footer become invisible. The icon still registers as being there with a mouseover, but it’s invisible. This happens only in Chrome. The icon shows up correctly in Safari and Firefox.

It looks like wpbeaverbuilder.com is having the same issue. When I view your site in Chrome, I see a generic square box for your Facebook footer icon, and your Twitter icon is invisible. Those icons appear correctly in Safari and Firefox.

Hey Steve,

I checked our site using Chrome on both Win7 and Win10 machines and I am seeing those icons just fine. What platform were you on when you checked the site?

I’m on Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan).

Hey Steve,

Do you have some ad blocker installed on your Chrome? As those sometimes block social icons.

Ah, yes, that was it. I was using the Adblock extension with Chrome.

It surprised me that it would block an RSS icon since that’s the only social icon I’m using on the site.

When I paused Adblock, the social icons were visible once again.
