Sorry! That page doesn’t seem to exist.

I have building a site for a few days now based on the automator theme and the page builder plugin. However I just recently ran into an issue…

On a page I click “Launch Page Builder” and then I am redirected to a page that states

“Sorry! That page doesn’t seem to exist.”

this is the url that it is complaining about. This happens on all of my pages on the site.

Hey Joe,

Sorry to hear. Would you mind sending me login/password so that we can take a look? The main domain would be great as well. Feel free to mark your reply as private so that only we can see it.

Best,
Billy

Hey Joe,

I am getting the issue as well, but only when trying to access the Page Builder from the frontend. I am able to successfully launch the Page Builder from WP admin. Our developer will have to get under the hood to take a look at what may be causing this as I can’t see any immediate errors. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can!

Best,
Billy

Thanks Billy.

Over the past day or so there have been some changes to the site but for the most part pretty minimal changes… A wildcard SSL has been added to the network. We are hosted on WPEngine.

Hey Joe,

The issue appears to be with how we are generating the builder’s edit urls. I’ve reworked that in the update that will be out later today. Let me know if that helps.

Justin

Thanks Justin, looking forward to testing it out.

Thanks,
Joe

Hey Joe,

The update was released yesterday. Let me know if you’re still experiencing the issue or not.

Thanks,
Justin

I’m actually getting this issue as well.

I have a fresh multisite install, and I’m trying to create a “templates” site to control core templates.

I can launch the builder but as soon as I hit save I get the same page not found message. I have the latest version of the plugin and wordpress.

Hey Gratisites,

Would you mind shooting us temp admin access so we can take a look?

Best,
Billy

Hey Billy thanks for the quick reply, I’m actually developing this locally for the time being.

It’s using subfolders in a multisite install. Is there any information I could pass along from my local environment that would help identify the issue?

Unfortunately not, it’s near impossible for us to troubleshoot without being able to get into your site. Would it be an option to get a dev version live for us to test in? If not, I’m afraid there isn’t much we can do until then. :frowning:

Best,
Billy

Oh no, embarrassing, looks like permalinks weren’t turned on in the template site I just created which caused the issue.

I found the solution here.

Sorry for bugging you.

Maybe in a future version the default not found page could have a small reminder to have permalinks turned on? Something unobtrusive?

Ah gotcha, glad you got that figured out! I had assumed you had permalinks going already so was prepping to dig deeper.
