ssl issues with images

Hi Team,

I just recently added an ssl cert to our site and then used the “really simple ssl” plugin to activate the https site wide. I saw great reviews on the plugin and my host actually recommended it.

Anyway, since activating the ssl, now when i go to create a page with beaver builder I’m have some issues. Mainly any images I add disappear once I save the page. I did try to investigate the issue myself (read a few forum posts here and googled it a bit) but I can’t seem to find a definitive answer.

Again, when i disable the ssl plugin i have no issue, it’s only when trying to build a page with ssl active that I have trouble.

I checked the settings in WP and the site is pointing to https in the general settings. Also when I check the image path in BB when adding an image it does refer to https. Also when i go into my media and check the image path it shows https.

And one final comment… when i added the ssl plugin all the current images on the various pages remained in tact. It’s only when I try to create a new page that I’m having issues.

Any help or links to look into this further would be so appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

ALso one other oddity I noticed…

When building/editing a page in BB now that ssl is enabled on that page, when i edit a row for example and change the margin, it changes as I adjust it in the editor but once i hit “save” it reverts right back to where it was originally set.

Same thing happens with background colors in rows. I add a background color and it shows up, then I save it and it disappears. Ironically though, if I go back and open the builder again the background color is still there when BB is active… just not showing up on the saved page.

Problem solved. It was another plugin that was causing the issue.

Have a great weekend.

Dave

Hey Dave,

Glad you figured it out! Do you mind sharing what plugin it was that caused the issue?

Ben

Would like to know what plugin as well, since I may have the same issue.

Hey Richard,

It’s most likely your site has a different setup than Dave’s. Go ahead and start a new topic and we’ll take it from there.
