Is there a good way to force the SSL/HTTPS on the theme? I need it really just on a checkout page but it throws an error due to the logo not being set to https. That is the only resource not set to https.

We use WordPress HTTPS on this site. It also allows you to force HTTPS on a per-page basis, so it may be just what you need.
