Styling help needed

Hi there

I was wondering if anybody could give me an idea of how to achieve the following:

I want to create a page that looks like this:

The Featured image must be part of the header area.

I can achieve this with a negative top margin, but then I cannot see the menus and logo.

Any idea on how to achieve this?
