Testimonials plugins not working with BB

Hi, i’ve been testing out various testimonials plugins today and none of them work well with BB.

They’re either displaying all testimonials at once, rather than fade/slide 1 at a time or, in the case of 2 plugins, they cause BB to stop working altogether.

Rather than email all the plugin authors I thought i’d post here first incase it’s something you’re aware of or can help with? At the moment it’s proving near on impossible to find one that works.

I’ve disabled testimonials in the BB modules just incase, but that made no difference.

Hey Paul,

Thanks for getting in touch! I’ve only used one testimonial plugin since and it’s the Testimonials Rotator. I tried it here on my local dev, placed the shortcode on an HTML module as well as a Text Editor module and both works fine. You can give that a shot!

Thanks Ben, I didn’t test that one as I need a sidebar widget but i’ll give it a go.

Yeah that works OK, thanks Ben.

Is there a reason why none of these other plugins will work with BB though? Seems odd they’re all getting 4-5 star ratings on WordPress but as soon as they’re added to a page built with Beaver Builder they either just don’t work, or BB stops working.

These three in particular looked to be the best:

Strong Testimonials
Client testimonials
Testimonials Widget

I can contact the authors direct but there’s obviously something in BB that’s conflicting.

The Testimonials Rotator doesn’t really work out of the box either. It’s not using the theme’s styling, reverting to the sans-serif font & #000000 colour. It’s not a major issue but it seems like every time I want to add anything to a sidebar with BB nothing works.

I can’t use the plugin settings to just add a “sidebar” as all the styling, margins and padding goes. I can’t add widgets as most don’t work or when they do all the styling is stripped.

Pretty frustrating really so I hope these issues can be looked at for future updates.

Hey Paul,

I just downloaded the plugin and tried it on my local dev and here’s the problem. The plugin is trying to load 2 JS files which are not included on the install. Check the screenshot below.

Those 2 files can’t be found on those directories. I tried using the plugin on just the regular WP Editor and the slider won’t work. It just lists all the testimonials since the jQuery function is missing. I would suggest contacting the plugin devs for this matter.
