How do you reset the builder tutorial that first comes up when you edit a page with the builder on a new install/account?
I didn’t see a button or a way to do this in the builder settings on a multisite install that would reset these tutorials either network-site wide or for a single site.
When you edit a page with BeaverBuilder for the first time, WordPress pointers come up to introduce you to BeaverBuilder.
After viewing this help tutorial once, it does not automatically come back up again. Though I am aware that it could be brought back through the help menu button, I’m looking for a simple way to make it come back up again automatically the next time a client opens up the builder.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do that as most users probably don’t want to see that popping up each time they launch the builder.
To know whether a user has already launched the builder before, we’re storing a simple boolean value in the _fl_builder_launched user meta. I haven’t tested this, but you can probably delete that value on each page load using the following…
Cool! That’s what I was looking for. I can hook an option or button somewhere in WordPress Settings that resets the tutorials.
The idea is when I go into a clients new website to edit their pages, I close this tutorial that pops up. When I hand the website over to the client, I want to reset the tutorials so that the client can understand a little about how the builder works.
Can this be a simple feature added, just a tutorial reset button in the page builder settings under help?
If I don’t reply back here, that means things are good and it worked! Thanks for your help.
I’m glad that this might work for you. As a feature request, this is probably lower priority given its probable usage, but I’ll keep it in mind. Let us know how it goes!
