Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token

I’m getting the following error when I try to make changes to a website with Page Builder:

Beaver Builder caught the following JavaScript error. If Beaver Builder is not functioning as expected the cause is most likely this error. Please help us by disabling all plugins and testing Beaver Builder while reactivating each to determine if the issue is related to a third party plugin.

I did deactivate all of the plugins and still got the error with all of them deactivated.

Hey William,

Welcome to the BB forums!

Do you have any custom codes added to your site? Would it be possible if you could share temp admin access so we can check? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

Hey William,

That’s really a weird issue you’re having there! Can you try deleting the plugin, download a fresh copy of it on your Accounts page, install and activate it and see if you get the same thing? Actually, can you do the same thing on both the theme and plugin then check?

Let us know how it goes!

Ben

It’s still not working, I’m getting the same error.

Hi William,

As you have built your page with the BB page builder, this means the issue is recent. Have any changes happened to either your site or server recently that you can think of?

Thanks,
Danny

Hi William,

Did you backup your dev site and hand over the backup information for them to restore? If so, then they’re going to want to follow the instructions on the link below.

http://forum.wpbeaverbuilder.com/knowledge-base/migrating-a-site-to-another-domain/

Ask them to follow the search and replace instructions, as this may be the cause of the issue.

Thanks,
Danny
