Using BB with iThemes Widget Content CPT

Hello,

I am using Beaver Builder with an iThemes theme. iThemes creates a CPT called “Widget Content”. BB doesn’t seem to recognize it, so I can’t enable editing with BB.

Thoughts?

Welcome to the BB forums! :slight_smile:

Custom Post Types are disabled by default. You need to enable them under Settings > Page Builder > Post Types. Do take note though that not all CPTs are supported, it all boils down to how the CPT works. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes! :slight_smile:

Hi Ben,

I should have been more specific in that I did look in the Settings area. Only Posts and Pages appears there.

I figured you guys must have had that question before, as iThemes Builder is somewhat popular, although they are more known for their BackupBuddy and Security plugins.

Hi Dave,

If the Widgets Content CPT isn’t displaying in the Post Types settings panel, then is it very likely due to how the custom post type has been coded.

I have reviewed their documentation on the Widgets Content and although they’re a custom post type, they have from what I have just read. Been designed to work only as widgets. So I think due to that, this is the reason why they’re not showing in the post type settings.
