Using Beaver Builder for a content management system

Hello everyone,

I am new to Beaver Builder and have been building a test stie for the past week. I must say it is a fantastic plugin and I intend to keep using it for my future projects.

I would now like to use it for clients to build a CMS. What I would like to do is have parts of a page where the client can edit some information like, for example, a Bio or a Special Offers Section, or add/edit titles, etc. I would like this to be done without the client using the page builder.

Is there a way to achieve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cannot find a suitable method.

Thanks.

Hey Antoine,

Welcome to the BB forums!

Are you trying to design a page using the BB Page Builder, and have some parts of it editable by the client without using the builder itself? That won’t be possible for now. The guys are planning to add ACF support though but there’s really no concrete timeline for it. The only way around it for now is through custom modules. Check the link below for more info.

And below is our custom module docs.

Hope this helps!

Hi Ben,

thanks for your reply. I’m glad that in the future there may be ACF support as the custom module method is way too complicated for me. I was thinking, is it possible to “lock” certain parts of the page being built with the page builder so that the client does not mess up the layout and allow the client to edit specific certain parts via the page builder?

Thanks
Antoine

Hey Antoine,

That’s currently not possible. And it’s one of the top feature requests that we have. You can check it or maybe even vote for it on the link below.
