Using the Accent color with custom CSS

Hello guys.

I would like to use the accent color with custom CSS. It would also be great if this can be called from the plugin.

Please let me know if this is possible, and how.

Thank you!

Hi Carlos,

The accent color when using our theme does get called by the plugin for various things like link color, default button color, etc. You can also just inspect an element and add custom CSS if you like. If you are looking for a way to call the accent color a little differently, this thread may be of interest.

Best,
Billy

Hello Billy!

Thank you for your reply.

I udnerstand that the theme automatically uses the accent color for those elements you mention. However, it would be nice if, when trying to select a color for a heading (or any other element), we could choose the accent color variable besides a static color. This would make it faster to change a template’s color palette. The possibilities could be endless. Maybe there could also be a setting called “Theme colors” instead of just the accent color, where we could change the palette easily from one place and all the site colors would update. Enough brainstorming haha… I am assuming this can’t be donde currently, am I right?

I have seen the thread that you talked about. How can I use that in custom CSS? I need to create a PHP file combined with CSS?

Thank you!

Hey Carlos,

Yes, unfortunately that isn’t possible at the moment, but we have something similar in the works for the future most likely. We see how this could be invaluable so definitely want to get to it eventually! Here is the feature request.

Billy
