View Shopping Cart Icon Navbar

Hello
I am new to Genesis , using the dynamik theme and Beaver Builder and so far very happy with the combo!

I would love to add a view shopping cart icon in the Nav Bar similar to this plug in https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-menu-bar-cart/

It needs to be able to work with Cart66. I emailed their team but as I am kind of a beginner didn’t totally understand what to do
Here is their response:

“This is doable but won’t have much to do with Cart66. I suggest using http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/ for the icon. And you can create a menu item in your theme for this and add the markup there.
yoursite.com/view_cart will take the user to the cart which you can use for the link.
Any Ideas?

You can add Font Awesome icons to your menu with this plugin:

Another possible solution I received is:

You create a custom link for your cart to yoursite.com/view_cart in Appearance - Menus and add it to your menu.
Then you follow the tutorial from the Docs:
