Where do I add the css code in a third party theme

I read the blog for adding the css to a third party theme so that the padding is removed…but I have no idea where in the third party theme do I add that? Is it in the style.css for the themes and if so is there a specific place I put it? I am using the child theme, but I need to modify the parent theme it seems.

I have copied the css syle sheet here:

Edit: code removed

Hey Lisa,

Thanks for getting in touch! If you are using a Child Theme, there is no need to modify the Parent Theme. Doing so would only cause problems when you update the said theme as the changes you’ve made will be gone. Do you mind sharing the site URL as well as grant us temporary admin access to we can check the theme for you? Most themes offer a place to put custom CSS in. You can share the details via private reply.

No offence to the original poster, but do you think we could move the CSS code to an text file linked to on dropbox (or similar) and remove all the code.

I have done a good 15 - 20 searches as I’m getting started with Beaver plugin/theme. This post keeps coming up because of all the keyword goodness. I then have to scroll forever and be mindful not to scroll past other results.

I realize my suggestion is somewhat more complicated than just leaving it.

No worries at all, Derrick. That has happened to me a few times as well so I’ve removed the code as it isn’t needed in the forums any way.

Best,
Billy
